How does an inclined screen solid-liquid separator work?
The machine uses a precisely angled, wedge-wire screen. Wet slurry is pumped to the top of the screen and flows down. Gravity pulls the liquid through the screen’s small gaps, while the solid materials slide off the surface at the bottom.
The design of the Slope Screen Separator is brilliant in its simplicity. We have engineered it to make the most of a basic law of physics. Think of it like a perfectly designed, industrial-strength kitchen strainer.
Feeding the Slurry: First, liquid manure slurry is pumped from your pit or tank to an inlet box at the very top of the sloped screen. This is the only part of the process that requires a pump.
Flowing Over the Screen: The slurry then overflows from the inlet box and begins to flow evenly down the surface of the screen. The screen itself is the heart of the machine. It is not just a simple mesh; it is made from special “wedge wire.”
The Magic of Wedge Wire: The wires have a unique V-shape. This shape creates a very thin opening on the top surface but a wider gap underneath. This design is very important. It allows water to pass through easily, but it is highly resistant to clogging because any particle that fits through the top opening will not get stuck.
Separation in Action: As the slurry flows down, gravity pulls the liquid straight down through the wedge wire screen. This separated liquid is collected in a tank below. The solid fibers, however, cannot pass through. They continue to slide down the angled surface of the screen and fall off the end, forming a pile of dewatered solids.

The function of vibration screening
Vibration force drive: The inclined screen solid-liquid separator generates vibration force through a vibration device, causing relative motion between the sieve and the material on it.
Material movement: Under the action of vibration force, the mixture (solid particles and liquid) moves along the inclined surface of the inclined screen. Solid particles jump and roll on the sieve due to the action of vibration force, thereby increasing the chance of contact with the sieve.
Screening process: As the material moves, smaller solid particles will enter the lower layer or flow out of the equipment through the sieve holes, while larger solid particles will be left above the sieve because they cannot pass through the sieve holes, thus achieving preliminary separation of solids and liquids.
